Q) Why should I Buy/ Sell on RURAL SHOP?

Rural shop.com is one of the rapidly growing marketplaces in India with buyer and seller base increasing at a much higher rate. By providing a wide range of serviceable pin codes for delivery of products to the buyers as well as pickup orders from sellers, we are creating an opportunity for the buyer to select from many unique varieties of products and for the sellers, a platform where they can showcase their products in front of a huge customer base.

Signup as Seller

Onboarding:

After reviewing your details, our team will start the seller registration process.

We will discuss with you about the terms& Conditions and other commercials. After finalization, we will send you the contract for the same.

We will send you the product description sheet/ onboarding sheet. You need to fulfill the same and send it back to us.

Once we receive the complete product details along with final high quality product images, we will make your products LIVE on our website.

We will send you the WELCOME EMAILER once your product goes Live.

Commissions:

We will discuss with each and every seller to finalize the commission percentage. The Commission varies for different products and sellers. We allow our sellers to decide the commission according to their business scenario. At end of the day we want the farmers, artisans, micro entrepreneurs, small industries in rural areas grow with us.

Q) What are document required for start selling on RURAL SHOP?

You should have the following documents:

Mandatory:

  • Valid Email Id and Mobile Number
  • Bank Account details (For Payment of your orders purchased)

Optional:

  • PAN card (Personal PAN for "Individual Seller" and Personal + Business PAN for business type as “Company”)
  • GST Number (If Applicable)
  • FSSAI (If Applicable – Food and Beverages)
  • Brand Labeling image
  • Back Label of the Product
  • Nutritional Label (Applicable if Food and Beverages)

Q) Who can sell on RURAL SHOP?

Anyone can sell on RURALSHOP.com but their products must be considered legal to sell by the law of the nation and should follow our policies, Terms conditions.

Q) How can I start selling on RURAL SHOP?

Just complete the registration process by filling up the small registration form with proper details. Our team is committed to support you through every step in the registration process. After registration is completed, we will verify your details and activate your seller account at the earliest.

Q) What product can I sell on RURAL SHOP?

You can sell a wide range of products like Sweets, Snacks, Spices& Masalas, Jewels, and Gifts, fashion, clothing (HAND STITCH) and accessories and so on. Apart from this you can also sell handloom, textile and handcraft products, along with other traditional items. For more information, please contact us.

Q) Can I register as seller if I don’t have a GST?

Yes. You can register as seller even if you don’t have GST

Q) Will l be charged for listing on RURAL SHOP?

No. You won’t be charged for product listing on RURAL SHOP.com. We will only take a small commission for every purchase of your products made through us.

Q) Will Rural Shop employee helps me for Registering. Listing products and uploading images?

Yes. Our dedicated team will guide you through every steps of registration process, Listing products and uploading quality images.

Q) Automatic cancelation will happen! Why?

  • If the order is not handed over to our courier partner within the stipulated time.
  • Fake Pickup Schedule.
  • No Response to the mail/ calls for more than a week after getting the order.

Pricing & Payments:

Q) Who decided the price of the product?

As a seller, you will set the price of your product. You will get to know the total amount (our commission + GST + Your Product price)

Q) What is the fee structure for selling on RURAL SHOP?

Basically, our fee structure is designed as such: Total price of the product=your listing price + our commission + GST

Q) HOW and when do I get paid?

In case of prepaid order, the payment will be settled in next 7 working days, In case of COD order, the payment will be settled in 15 days

Q) I am a seller. I got an order. What’s next?

As soon as the buyer purchases your product, you will receive the order notification via email/ sms. After receiving the order details the seller has to confirm the same either through mail/ Call. In the event of non-confirmation, the order may subject to cancellation.

Q) On RURAL SHOP can I sell outside INDIA?

No. Presently you can sell only in India. We will notify you once we activated outside India service.

Q) Order Notification

  • Once we get an order for your product, you would be notified by an email which has the order details and customer details. For new vendors, we will also notify through call about the order.
  • You would need to prepare the order and keep it ready for dispatch.
  • Once the order is ready for dispatch, we will arrange for courier pickup by our courier partners (In case of Self Ship you have to arrange courier)
  • You would get the tracking number/ AWB & Invoice for which you need to take printouts. (AWB- 2 copies, Invoice – 1 Copy).
  • You need to paste one copy of AWB to the parcel and take the signature on another copy from the pickup guy.
  • The Order will be picked up by our courier partner. (In case of Self Ship you have to courier by yourself and send us the tracking number)
  • All the payments will be collected by Rural Shop and will be remitted to sellers within 7- 15 days after deducting the commission with applicable taxes.

Q) Will customer know that he/she is buying a product from me through RURAL SHOP?

Yes. When we notify the buyer through email and SMS on he/she make the purchase, than in that mail and SMS we will provide your shop name along with RURAL SHOP.com. We will be also notifying your shop name on the invoice that will be attached above the package along with RURAL SHOP.

Shipping Method:

Q) Who takes care of the delivery of my order?

RS- Ship

  • RS Ship is a delivery method wherein the seller will be responsible for packaging and ship the product to the buyer via courier through one of our courier partners.
  • Seller needs to give intimation through Mail/ Message/ Call once the product is ready for dispatch.
  • Shipping Label and Invoice copy will be generated on the successful scheduling of the shipment. Take two copies of shipping label and one copy of the invoice.
  • One Shipping label has to be attached to the parcel.
  • One label to yourself after getting signature from pickup guy.
  • Keep the invoice copy inside the parcel.
  • Pickup: Generally pickup will be scheduled on next day of readiness confirmation. In case of Missed pickup or any other reasons related to pick up you can contact our customer care number or write to us.

Self-Ship

  • Self-Ship is the delivery method wherein the packaging and shipping the product to the buyer rests with the seller. In this method, the vendor can use their preferable courier partner and deliver the product to the buyer directly.
  • Invoice Copy will be generated on the successful order confirmation.
  • Keep the invoice copy inside the parcel.
  • Arrange your preferable courier partner and send the parcel to the buyer directly.
  • After dispatching seller has to send the Tracking number / AWB to us.

Q) If my pincode is not applicable for pickup services?

In case, your pin code is not applicable for pickup service then let us know and we will try to make an arrangement for the pickup service. If you want to know about the pickup service prior to the registration process then just contact us and we will help you out.

Q) Does RURALSHOP provide packing material?

YES, we will provide packing material charges apply for that. But you have to follow our terms provided for the quality of the packaging material. In case you need any help with the packaging material then contact us and we will try to make an arrangement for you

Return & Seller Protection:

Q) Does rural shop protect me if my product is lost or damaged during transit process?

We insure your product before making the shipment. Our team is always there if such cases occur by some circumstances. Moreover our partnered couriers take guarantee of safely shipping the products to its destination. Terms & Conditions Apply as per courier partner.

Q) What if a customer tries to claim for false fraudulent case on my product?

If you think that you have come across such situation, than mail us an application stating your issue. Our team will contact you and will conclude at a result only after proper inspection for the issue.

Q) What if my customer damages my product and returns the product back to me?

If you think that you have come across such situation, than mail us an application stating your issue. Our team will contact you and will conclude at a result only after proper inspection for the issue.

Q) Incase product will be out of stock from the seller?

Seller needs to give advance intimation if the product is out of stock or any other issue to deliver the product.

Q) What if my customer damages my product and returns the product back to me?

Penalty/ Charges

  • If the seller cancels an order, it will be considered as out of stock and impose a penalty of 2 times the marketing fee.
  • If the product is returned/ damaged due to improper packing, the shipping charges will be levied on that order.
  • If the seller supply the fake product and not adhere to the guidelines.

Rural Shop Promotional Card

All the orders should be packed with Rural Shop Thank you card. It will give assurance to the buyer that the product is from verified seller and genuine
